In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we are in the traditional homeland of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples.

This territory is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, and we also acknowledge that it is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.

We respect the indigenous population, honour their deep connection to this land, and value the important contributions made to our history and society to this day.

We are committed to continuing to listen, to learn, and we encourage others to do the same.
