Good Neighbors Canada is helping our international neighbours with meals.

We have committed to $6,000 from our emergency relief fund in response to the Australian fires.

Through Good Neighbors Australia, a total of AUD 10,000 will be donated to OzHarvest across a 6-month period.

Every dollar donated enables them to deliver 2 meals, so Good Neighbors donors will be giving the equivalent to 20,000 meals!

OzHarvest feeds fire crews and locals

The organization has been providing food relief to bushfire-affected communities since November 2019, delivering nutritious meals and organizing food events.

They normally rely on donations of rescued food in order to help vulnerable community members.

However, due to the bushfire crisis, they need to purchase additional food to provide an adequate level of food relief.

OzHarvest volunteers and staff will weigh and track the tonnage and types of food and equivalent number of meals provided at every point of drop-off.
